Trestle is a 501c3 non-profit contemporary art space located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, that was first established in 2012 in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Our mission is to foster creativity and community by offering exhibition, education, and networking opportunities for contemporary artists and curators.

In addition to our exhibition programming, we host monthly critiques that are free and open to the public. Trestle also has artist opportunities - we host bi-annual exhibition open calls and residencies, and just launched a Critical Feedback Program (details below).

New @ Trestle

Trestle programs are designed to offer an alternative to the expense of higher education. The Trestle philosophy comes from a belief that artists can grow and learn from each other without the excessive student loans that can come with graduate work at larger institutions.
