Jessica Anderson is an award-winning brand strategist and storyteller with experience working for companies across a vast variety of sectors and business stage from early stage start-ups to global organizations. She is currently head of content and distribution for integrated marketing and creative communications agency Praytell. In her spare time, she explores the world and runs marathons. Jessica is a member of the Junior Associates of MOMA and experiments with abstract mixed media. She earned her B.A. in journalism from Georgia State University.
Lyn Baranowski is a corporate development executive with experience spanning biotech, big pharma, and venture capital firms. She currently serves as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy at Melinta Therapeutics, Inc. where she is a member of the executive leadership team. Ms. Baranowski has a BA in International Studies from American University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Emily Giacoman joined the Trestle Gallery board in 2017. She has over 10 years of professional experience and is presently a Vice President at American Express Company. Emily received her MBA from Cornell University and completed her undergraduate degree at Vassar College.
Jenny Ecclestone joined the Trestle Gallery board in 2019. She is currently the Director of Finance and Strategy for Trestle Art Space, a sponsor of Trestle Gallery. Previously, she worked in Equity Research for Morgan Stanley and CIBC for 5 years. More recently, Jenny worked on the front lines of Wellness in the Schools, a nonprofit focused on combatting childhood obesity. Jenny received a BA in Economics from Queen’s University and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario. She was also a Chartered Financial Analyst and member of Toronto CFA Society.
Hannah Honan, one of Trestle Board's youngest members, joined in 2019 and brought with her the diversity of perspective of a younger generation. Hannah is interested in the prevalent tensions in the art world between art as an intellectual endeavor and art as a commodity. She graduated from Hamilton College Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in art history and a minor in studio art. She lives in Manhattan and works at Acquavella Galleries on the Upper East Side.
Lisa Warren is an artist based in Connecticut and New York. She earned an MFA from Yale University and a BFA from Rhode Island school of Design (RISD). Warren was subsequently accepted to the Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture. Lisa was an Artist-in- Residence at the Vermont Studio Center, a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and awarded a fellowship at the Hambidge Center. Lisa has exhibited her work throughout New England, and New York and is currently, a Trustee at Berkshire School, where she has focused her efforts toward Student life, Admissions and Development. Lisa is working on a mural project for the Nu Perspectives program at the Nu Hotel in Brooklyn Heights, and is a member of Trestle Arts Space in Brooklyn, New York.
Joseph J. Barretto has been an advisory board member at Trestle since 2017. He is a management strategist with 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. His expertise includes organizational and fundraising strategy and leadership development, building the capacity of organizations to ensure their sustainability and maximize their impact. In addition to his independent consulting practice, Joseph is an Affiliate Consultant at Community Resource Exchange and sits on the Selection Committee for The New York Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Awards. He is Board Chair of the Filipino American Human Services, Inc., and serves on the National Advisory Board for Public Service at Harvard College. Joseph holds degrees from Harvard College and Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs.
Heather Bhandari has been on the Trestle Gallery advisory board since 2014. She is a curator and co-author of ART/WORK; the second edition will be published by Simon and Schuster in 2017. She is the Program Director of The Artist First, a new nonprofit in LA. Heather Bhandari is a current adjunct Lecturer at Brown University, Director of Exhibitions and Program Manager at Smack Mellon, and recently completed a 15 year project as Director of Artists Relations at Mixed Greens Gallery in Chelsea. She is on the boards of Art Omi and NURTUREart.
Michael Brennan has been a Trestle Gallery advisory board member since 2014. He is a practicing artist who has exhibited extensively, domestically & internationally. Group exhibitions include PS1/MoMA, Vassar College, St. Peter’s College, etc. He has also written extensively for The Brooklyn Rail, ArtNet, and numerous catalog essays. He currently teaches at Pratt alongside his practice, and has also taught at Hunter College and Cooper Union.
Katerina Lanfranco is a Brooklyn-based artist. She earned her BA from UC Santa Cruz (Studio Art and Visual Theory & Museum Studies) and her MFA from Hunter College, City University of New York (Studio Art: Painting). Her work has been exhibited internationally. Lanfranco’s work is represented by the Nancy Hoffman Gallery, and is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Kupferstichkabinett (Museum of Prints and Drawings) in Berlin, and the Corning Museum of Glass. She teaches studio art at museums and other institutions for higher learning throughout New York City. She has been awarded several artists residencies including a six month creative artist residency in Kyoto, Japan. Lanfranco is the founder and director of Rhombus Space, an exhibition space in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Jim Osman has been an advisory board member at Trestle Gallery since 2016. He is an established artist and fine arts professor. He has exhibited extensively both across the country and abroad. Born and raised in NY, he received both his BFA & MFA from Queens College, and is currently the Director of the First Year program at The New School.
Mel Prest has been an advisory board member at Trestle since 2014. She is an established artist and educator who has exhibited her work extensively, both internationally and domestically. She received her MFA in Painting from Mills College and her BFA in Painting from RISD. Mel also teaches at San Francisco State University, San Francisco Art Institute, California college of art, and San Francisco City College.
