Jesse Bandler Firestone
Jesse Firestone is interested in using art as a nexus to open a wide range of topics and sees art as a tool to shift consciousness or enact change by fostering art as resistance. Firestone is pursuing his MA in Curatorial Practice at SVA; he is a curator at Satellite Art Show (FL), a contributor to D/Railed Magazine, and was recently a visiting critic at Wassaic Project (NY).
Firestone's curatorial projects have been exhibited at The Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts (St Louis, MO), Young at Art Museum (Davie, FL), Mary Sky (Hancock, VT), Box Contemporary (Fort Lauderdale, FL), FATVillage Projects (Fort Lauderdale, FL), Bakehouse Art Complex (Miami, FL), SATELLITE (Miami, FL), Fort Gondo Compound for The Arts (St Louis, MO), and Beverly (St Louis, MO). His exhibitions have received accolades from The Sun Sentinel, WideWalls, Konbini, Performance is Alive, Artnet, Artfuse, and Hyperallergic.
